Rubica: Leading the fight against Malware?

Someone once asked me why I think cyber security is so important, and why. I told him that I thought it wasn’t a big deal because I don’t really have anything to hide. He then asked me, “Hey, what’s your social security number and date of birth?” Needless to say, I looked at him like he was crazy. Which proved his point exactly! We have more to hide than we think. And with the ever-growing number of cyber attacks coupled with the degree to which they are being carried out makes this question more than relevant, to say the least. These attacks range anywhere from injecting ransomware into “secured” medical devices and networks to attacking the private emails of high profile politicians. The most disturbing of these attacks are the ones that are primarily implemented to breach the personal data of individuals and their families via ransomware.

Ransomware is a type of malware that encrypts your personal files on your computer and stops you from being able to access them until you pay a ransom. Usually in Bitcoin. It’s a threat that quite literally hits home and we are more vulnerable than ever. Fortunately, there are cyber security services like Rubica that counter malicious attacks like ransomware and stops it dead in its tracks. Rubica protects all of your personal devices you use over any network and actively monitors any potential attacks or nefarious activity that can use exploits to gain access to your personal information.
