Jake Gottlieb


Dr. Gottlieb is a man of different kind of traits having been named by the Association for Investment Management and Research a Chartered Financial Analyst in 2001. He holds titles such as MD, PRMIA, and CFA. Dr. Gottlieb attained his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the Brown University situated in Providence, found on Rhode Island. His passion for investment was evident when he was a young boy. He even won a contest of stock selection held at his school at the age of seven. In attempts to nature the interest, Jacob Gottlieb’s father helped him to start an investment account of his own. Moreover, he used to sell beverages to golfers, an activity that won him entrepreneurial skills.

Jacob Gottlieb was born in 1978 to polish migrants who relocated to the United States of America in 1960. The family resided in Brooklyn, New York where he was raised together with his brothers by his father, Max Gottlieb an economics professor at City University in New York, and mother who is a pediatrician.

Dr. Gottliet is an alumnus of New York University school of medicine where attained his Doctor in medicine and graduated magna cum laude. He interned at St. Vincent’s Hospital in New York after graduation but latter quit medicine to pursue a career in finance. He has demonstrated excellent managerial skills as he has served as Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer at Visium Asset Management and investment portfolio manager at Merlin Financial, in London. Also, he was a founding member of Balyasny Asset Management, L.P. (BAM).

He is actively involved with Covenant House, an international organization whose aim is to protect and help homeless, runaway and trafficked children and youth. Apart from immediate crisis care, food and shelter, the organization provide healthcare, education, legal services as well as skill training programs among others.
